Episode 2
On March 22, 2023, we visited MRD Workshop. Upon crossing the threshold of their studio in Mexico City, we found ourselves immersed in a world of meticulously designed models and plans. Guided by architect Antonio Morodo, a source of inspiration and leader of the team, we embarked on a fascinating journey through their creations. Each project was more than a mere structure; it was a manifestation of ingenuity and vision, a reflection of the interaction between space and society. At MRD Workshop, architecture becomes a form of art, where the past meets the present to shape the future.
Yukón (Del Valle, Ciudad de México)
Yukón is a multifamily housing project situated above the Miguel Alemán Viaduct, one of the most challenging avenues in Mexico City. Due to the acoustic and visual pollution in the area, MRD Arquitectos had to devise specific architectural solutions that would enable them to navigate the path of functionality without compromising the quality and aesthetics of a space intended for seven families to inhabit.
«Nature is the place where everything flows, where we realize the richness and the incredible beauty of the world we inhabit, and inspiration arises naturally.
