MUSA is a contemporary retreat in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo that proposes a new way of inhabiting the coast: free, serene, and deeply connected to its surroundings. Framed by tropical vegetation and the rhythm of the Pacific, Andrés Saavedra’s project unfolds as a series of open, honest spaces attuned to the pace of the place.
Here, the residences rise among the jungle, ventilated by the sea breeze and sheltered by palms and expansive skies. Natural materials—wood, palm, concrete—are left exposed, creating warm, sober architecture in harmony with the landscape. Everything at MUSA is designed to dissolve into the calm of the environment, without pretension or artifice.
Interior spaces open to the outdoors without defined boundaries, blurring the line between home and nature. From an oceanfront terrace to a shaded nook, every architectural gesture has a clear intention: to live with simplicity, beauty, and purpose.

Andrés Saavedra Design is an architecture studio based on Mexico’s Pacific coast and in Mexico City, with a practice rooted in the connection between space, landscape, and daily life. Their work stems from a deep sensitivity to natural and cultural context, expressed in honest, contemporary architecture fully integrated into its surroundings.
Prioritizing user experience and respect for the site, the studio has developed residential, hospitality, and commercial projects that engage subtly with climate, topography, and local materials. Each work is conceived as a unique response, where functionality and aesthetics coexist naturally.
Andrés Saavedra’s architecture is characterized by a warm, sober, and structured language. Open forms, ventilated spaces, and exposed materials—such as wood, stone, and raw concrete—create atmospheres that invite rest, contemplation, and connection with the outdoors.
Beyond design, their practice is holistic: listening to the client, understanding the site, and designing with purpose. At Andrés Saavedra Design, each project is an opportunity to build identity from the essential.

Ixtapa Zihuatanejo is experienced between the salt of the sea and the warmth of the sand. It is a meeting of tranquil coastlines and a life that flows unhurriedly. Days begin with the sound of waves and end under skies ablaze over the bay; the body adapts to a different rhythm and the senses attune to the environment.
What draws us to this place is its duality: the serenity of Zihuatanejo and the contained energy of Ixtapa; the village preserving its fishing roots alongside open beaches that invite slow living. Everything coexists naturally, balancing simplicity and sophistication.
Walking on the sand, drinking morning coffee, swimming under the sun, or resting in the shade—every everyday gesture becomes an experience. In Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, luxury lies in the essentials: the climate, the light, and the horizon.
