Chain + Siman conceives architecture as an intimate gesture that weaves together life and space. Each project arises from deep observation—listening to how light rests upon matter or how the surroundings suggest ways of dwelling.
Their practice does not seek to impose, but to reveal: creating homes that feel lived in from the very first day, shelters that engage in dialogue with the landscape, and interiors where time flows with ease. In every work, what matters most is not form but the experience of inhabiting.
renatta

Chain + Siman is an architecture and interior design firm based in Mexico City, led by Renatta Chain and Lina Siman. The practice stems from the conviction that architecture is, above all, a way of shaping the lives of those who inhabit a space. Each project seeks to transform the everyday into experiences that combine functionality, emotion, and aesthetics.

Renatta Chain’s career began in Miami with residential projects and continued with her own firm, RCH, which today expands into Chain + Siman, where creative vision converges with close collaboration with clients.

Each work is developed with careful attention to the environment, light, and materials, integrating interiors and architecture in constant dialogue. The result is open, warm, and elegant spaces where life unfolds naturally and every detail contributes to the satisfaction and well-being of those who inhabit them.

On July 10, 2025, Renatta Chain welcomed us into her home to share her creative process and the roots that have inspired her practice. Her trajectory has been shaped both by her father’s world of construction and by the artistic sensibility of her grandmother, sculptor Charlotte Yazbek.

With more than 40 projects in Valle de Bravo, including Casa Rancho Avándaro, her work stands out for integrating local materials, light, and landscape. Each project reflects her story, her travels, and the collaboration with her team, embracing architecture as a way of life.
