Ignacio Urquiza, a graduate in Architecture and Urbanism from the Anáhuac University, completed a master's degree in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University in New York, enriching his perspective and approach to architectural design. In 2013, he founded his own architecture and interior design studio, Taller Héctor Barroso, which has been recognized for its commitment to sensibility and harmony in every project. On the other hand, Ignacio Urquiza, with a solid academic background, joined Taller Héctor Barroso to collaborate on this project, contributing to excellence and creativity in architectural design. Together, they have received numerous awards and recognitions for their outstanding work in a variety of projects, from single-family homes to educational institutions, solidifying their position as leaders in contemporary architecture in Mexico and beyond. Their focus on harmony with nature and the creation of comforting and functional spaces has resonated both nationally and internationally.

The Laguna de Potosí, which runs parallel to the coast of Playa Blanca, is a distinctive feature of this area. During the rainy season, the lagoon temporarily connects to the sea through a sandbar, creating an interesting phenomenon.
