ALMA is a residential sanctuary on the coast of Huatulco, where modern architecture and tropical nature intertwine to propose a serene, mindful way of life. Between the sea and the mountains, its 46 residences—designed by JJRR Arquitectura in collaboration with Módica-Ledezma—unfold discreetly, respecting the topography and opening their views to the ocean.
Designed by JJRR Arquitectura in collaboration with Módica-Ledezma, ALMA honors the site’s topography and biodiversity, unfolding with discretion across a low-density terrain. Its 46 residences open their views to the sea, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside, between the natural and the habitable. Warm walls, generous shadows, cross ventilation, and local materials create an atmosphere that invites lightness in living.
With expansive terraces, saltwater pools, local materials, and cross ventilation, every space is conceived for yearround living, in harmony with the climate and the landscape. Amenities, such as the wellness center immersed in the jungle, reinforce a lifestyle centered on well-being.
JJRR Arquitectura is a Mexico City–based studio recognized for a practice that combines formal clarity, spatial sensitivity, and a profound connection to the landscape. Led by José Juan Rivera Río, the studio develops an architecture distinguished by its balance between the structural and the poetic, the built and the natural.
Their work encompasses residential, cultural, and hospitality projects, where architecture is conceived as an extension of its surroundings. Through restrained composition, noble materials, and a precise attention to light and proportion, JJRR shapes spaces that foster well-being, contemplation, and a sense of belonging.

Bahías de Huatulco reveals itself at the meeting of jungle and sea: a clear morning sky, the murmur of the waves, the salty air drifting among bougainvillea. Its beauty makes no claim—it simply exists: silent, generous, intact.
We are inspired by its natural balance: between hidden beaches and green mountains, between the wild and the livable. Here, life flows at a different pace one that invites contemplation and a sense of belonging.
What captivates us most is its way of inhabiting time: unhurried, with awakened senses.That harmony is felt in the landscape, in its warm waters, in the light that transforms everything with softness.
