Mérida 94 is a residential project located in Roma Norte, one of Mexico City’s most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods. Its location allows for a connected, walkable lifestyle close to cafés, galleries, parks, and a wide range of restaurants.

The project consists of a boutique collection of only six residences, arranged in two towers around a central courtyard that brings natural light, ventilation, and a continuous relationship between spaces. The residences include two-bedroom apartments and a duplex typology with a private rooftop.

The spaces were designed with a clear and contemporary layout, prioritizing privacy, openness, and natural light. The architecture offers a more intimate and calm way of living in Roma Norte, where design, functionality, and the connection between interior and exterior create a timeless residential experience.

em.estudio is an architecture practice focused on developing contemporary projects through a clear design language and a precise understanding of context. Their approach sees each project as an opportunity to create proposals that respond to their surroundings and the moment in which they exist, building a coherent relationship between space, materiality, and use.

Their work spans different scales, with a strong emphasis on program development and material selection—key elements that define the spatial experience. Through collaborative processes and a multidisciplinary approach, em.estudio explores solutions that go beyond the built form, integrating ideas that enrich the way spaces are inhabited.

For em.estudio, architecture is a tool to connect with context and time. Their practice combines exploration, technical precision, and sensitivity, resulting in projects that aim to create identity, a sense of belonging, and an authentic relationship between people and space.

Roma Norte moves to a rhythm between two tempos: the constant energy of the city and the everyday life that lingers in small details. It is the early-morning hum of cafés, the sound of bicycles gliding along treelined streets, the golden light that settles on old facades and blends with contemporary architecture.

Life unfolds in corners filled with stories, terraces that open toward the street, and parks that offer a moment of pause without breaking the city’s movement. It is a neighborhood that embraces urban life yet invites you to experience it slowly: to walk, to observe, to stay a little longer.

Between wide avenues and quiet passages, between Porfirian mansions and new cultural spaces, we find a way of living that feels open and close at the same time. Roma is lived outward—through its markets, cafés, and bookstores—but also inward, in the memory of its buildings and the familiar routines that repeat with affection.

It is a place where past and present speak without hurry, where every street holds a different texture, and where living becomes a continuous act of discovery
